Farkhad Temurovich Akhmedov (15 September 1955-) was a Russian oligarch of Azerbaijani origin.

Farkhad Temurovich Akhmedov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR, Soviet Union on 15 September 1955. His father was sentenced to death for embezzlement, and he fled to Moscow at the age of 15 with 48 rubles, learning how to become a mechanic before serving in the Soviet Navy and becoming a fur specialist. During the 1980s, he befriended Boris Berezovsky, Pyotr Aven, Roman Abramovich, and Eugene Shvidler. He moved to London in the early 1980s and began trading Sable skins on the London Commodities Exchange; in 1987, he founded Tansley Trading Ltd. In 1993, he bought a 5% share in Northgas, and he grew to gave a net worth of $1,500,000,000. From 2007 to 2010, he served as Senator from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in the Federation Council. In 2018, the US government named him one of the 96 major tycoons in Russia.
