Faris al-Hammadi was an Emirati Salafi motivational speaker, athletic trainer, and TikToker. While popular for his humor, he held fundamentalist views, such as praising Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab and making TikToks telling women not to refuse sex with their husbands, criticizing Saudi democracy activists, and - controversially among his followers - advising Muslims not to boycott Israeli products unless their governments told them to do so, which some anti-Zionist Muslims interpreted as a pronouncement that "boycotting Israeli products is haram."
