Fares Mana'a
(born 8 February 1965) was the Governor of Sa'dah Province from 2011.
Biography[]
Fares Mana'a was a former arms dealer from Sa'dah Province in Yemen, and he became a loyal servant of the Shia Houthis rebel group during the Sa'dah War after being a friend of the President of Yemen and a sheikh. After Governor Taha Hajer left Sa'dah in March 2011, the Houthis made Mana'a the new governor of the province. He declared independence for the inhabitants of Sa'dah, which was now under Houthi control.
