Farbas Djibril of Ghana

Farbas Djibril of Ghana (905-960) was the king of the Ghana Empire from 920 to 960, succeeding Farbas Iasine of Ghana and preceding Farbas Adama of Ghana.

Biography[]

Djibril succeeded his father Farbas Iasine of Ghana as the farbas of the Ghana Empire in 920, and he was from the Mande House of Cisse. He was the first emperor of Ghana to convert to Sunni Islam as Trans-Saharan trade shared Islamic goods as well as ideas. He was succeeded by Farbas Adama of Ghana.
