Biography[]

Faith Julia Goldy was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 8 June 1989 to a family of Ukrainian and Greek descent. She became a conservative media reporter and commentator before working for the right-wing media website The Rebel Media; following her mother's diagnosis with cancer in 2008, she turned towards traditionalist Catholicism and adopted increasingly far-right views. Goldy was known for her controversial views, such as claiming that the Palestinian Christian population of Bethlehem had been "ethnically cleansed" (and expressing shock at hearing the Islamic call to prayer in the city), supporting the "Great Replacement" theory, and claiming that the Virginia state troopers displayed bias against the alt-right protesters at Charlottesville in August 2017. After appearing on a neo-Nazi podcast on The Daily Stormer, she was fired from Rebel Media, but, on 27 July 2018, she decided to enter politics by running for Mayor of Toronto. She campaigned on improving the city's transportation infrastructure, providing affordable housing for millennials born in Toronto, monitoring Islamic organizations, and forcing homeless illegal immigrants out of the city. She lost the election with just 3.4% of the vote.
