Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani

Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani (7 January 1962-) was a member of the Parliament of Iran from 8 May 1996 to 3 May 2000 and the president of the Executives of Construction Party women's league.

Biography[]

Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani was born in Qom, Iran on 7 January 1962, the daughter of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. She gained a law degree in human rights from Birmingham City University in England, and she became involved in the Executives of Construction Party under her father. In 2009, she was blocked from leaving the country due to her activism against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government in the aftermath of the rigged elections, and she was harassed by hardliners and imprisoned from 2012 to 2013.
