Fadil Hammoud (24 July 1983-29 December 2020) was a Yemeni Salafi jihadist who commanded Yemeni Militia forces.
Biography[]
Fadil Hammoud was born on 24 July 1983 in Ibb, Yemen to a Sunni Muslim family. Hammoud was inspired by his imam's teachings and decided to form a militia in southern Yemen with his fellow students in order to implement Islamic rule across the country. Hammoud was added to the FBI's Most Wanted in 2018, and in 2020 the Intelligence Support Activity (ISA) started a mission to Socotra Island in order to clean the island of militants. Hammoud was killed in a firefight on Socotra with the ISA, and many other militants were killed.
