Ezio Manni (died 1944) was a Regia Marina soldier who served in Decima Flottiglia MAS during World War II. In 1944, he was sent to round up fourteen youths and bring them to a palace near Marzabotto, Italy, where they were tortured by four fascist dignitaries. Manni was secretly distressed about the fascists' actions, and he had an illicit affair with an African girl that was being held at the mansion. When the dignitaries discovered them in a moment of passion and aimed guns at Manni, Manni raised his arm and fist in a defiant socialist salute before being gunned down alongside his lover.
