Ezekiel Whitman (9 March 1776 – 1 August 1866) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-MA 15) from 4 March 1809 to 3 March 1811 (succeeding Daniel Ilsley and preceding William Widgery) and from 4 March 1817 to 3 March 1821 (succeeding George Bradbury) and from ME-2 from 4 March 1821 to 1 June 1822 (preceding Mark Harris).
Biography[]
Ezekiel Whitman was born in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts in 1776, and he practiced law in New Gloucester and Portland, Maine before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1809 to 1811 and from 1817 to 1822. He went on to serve as a judge on the Court of Common Pleas of Maine from 1822 to 1841 and Chief Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court from 1841 to 1848, and he died in East Bridgewater in 1866 at the age of 90.
