
Ezekiel Gilbert (25 March 1756 – 17 July 1841) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-NY 6) from 1793 to 1797, succeeding James Gordon and preceding Hezekiah L. Hosmer.
Biography[]
Ezekiel Gilbert was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1756, and he became a lawyer in Hudson, New York. Gilbert served in the State Assembly from 1789 to 1790, in the US House of Representatives from 1793 to 1797, in the State Assembly from 1800 to 1801, and as Clerk of Columbia County from 1813 to 1815. He died in 1841.
