Ezekiel Forman Chambers (28 February 1788 – 30 January 1867) was a US Senator from Maryland (NR) from 24 January 1826 to 20 December 1834, succeeding Edward Lloyd and preceding Robert Henry Goldsborough.

Biography[]

Ezekiel Forman Chambers was born in Chestertown, Maryland in 1788, and he became a lawyer in 1808. He served as a militia captain during the War of 1812, and he reached the rank of Brigadier-General after the war. In 1822, he served in the Maryland State Senate, and he went on to serve in the US Senate from 1826 to 1834, filling the vacancy caused by the resignation of Edward Lloyd; Chambers himself resigned in 1834. From 1834 to 1851, he served as judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, and he died in 1867.
