Eyad Ismoil (born 1971) was an al-Qaeda member from Jordan who was one of the planners of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing in the United States.
Biography[]
Eyad Ismoil was born in 1971 and attended high school in Jordan, but in 1989 he entered the United States on a student visa at Wichita State University, but he overstayed his visa and stayed in Dallas, Texas. However, he decided to turn against his adoptive country and help Ramzi Yousef in his plan to blow up the World Trade Center. He drove a van packed with explosives into the parking garage below the building, and 6 people were killed and 1,042 wounded in the attack. Arrested, he was found guilty of conspiracy in 1997 and was sentenced to 240 years in prison in 1998.
