The Ever Victorious Army was an army of the Qing Dynasty trained in techniques, tactics, and strategy by Western officers during the Taiping Rebellion, formed in 1860. Originally led by Frederick Ward, it later fell under the control of General Charles "Chinese" Gordon and was instrumental in putting down the uprising by 1864. It consisted of Iron Flails and Flying Crows.
