Eva Cardenal (1994-) was a Spanish PSOE and PP politician who served in the Chamber of Deputies from 18 November 2019. In the second general election held in 2019, she won a seat once held by Podemos for the PSOE. However, a week after the 1 August 2022 general election, Cardenal - who had only retained her seat because of her professed commitment to neoliberalism (which differentiated her from her Podemos rival) - decided to defect to the PP rather than risk losing her PSOE constituents' support over her economically liberal views.
