Eugene Jerome Hainer

Eugene Jerome Hainer (16 August 1851-17 March 1929) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NE 4) from 4 March 1893 to 3 March 1897, preceding William Ledyard Stark.

Biography[]

Eugene Jerome Hainer was born in Pecs, Hungary in 1851, and he and his parents immigrated to the United States and settled in Columbia, Missouri in 1854. The family relocated to George Pomutz's Hungarian settlement of New Buda, Iowa, and Hainer was raised on a farm near Garden Grove. He became a lawyer in 1876, and he became a lawyer in Aurora, Nebraska that same year. He went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1893 to 1897, and he died in Omaha in 1929.
