Eugen Koenig (19 September 1896 – 8 April 1985) was a Generalleutnant of the German Wehrmacht and the commander of the German 91st Infantry Division and the 272nd Volksgrenadier Division.

Eugen Koenig was born on 19 September 1896 in Trier, German Empire, and he served in the Imperial German Army during World War I. Koenig was captured by the British Army in September 1918, but he was released from prison after the end of the war and left the Reichswehr in 1920. In 1937, he rejoined the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany, and he fought in France and Russia. Koenig took command of the German 91st Infantry Division in 1944 and led it during the fight against the Allied Powers in France and along the Siegfried Line; he later took command of the 272nd Volksgrenadier Division. Koenig was forced to surrender to the British again in the Ruhr Pocket of Germany in 1945, and he died in Bitburg, West Germany in 1985.
