
Estrid of the Obotrites (979-1006) was Queen consort of Sweden from 1000 to 1006 as the wife of King Olof Skotkonung.
Biography[]
Estrid was born in 979 to the Catholic Pomeranian Bodricz family, and she was the daughter of a Polabian tribal chief. In 1000, her father had her marry the Swedish king Olof Skotkonung as a peace offering, and she bore him two children: King Anund Jacob and Princess Ingegerd Olofsdotter. She died in 1006.
