The Essex Freeway is a 17.85-mile highway in northern New Jersey, consisting of the New Jersey section of Interstate 280. It begins at Interstate 95 in Kearny, Hudson County in the east and passes through Newark and Morris County before terminating at Parsippany-Troy Hills. It was named for Essex County.
