The Espiritu Santo helicopter base raid occurred in 2019 when a team of American special forces operatives raided a makeshift helicopter base operated by the Santa Blanca Cartel.
As part of his efforts to weaken La Santera's hold over Espiritu Santo, Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon team decided to help Kataris 26 by raiding a Santa Blanca outpost where a helicopter was stashed. The Americans ambushed and took out the six sicarios guarding the base and interrogated the lieutenant Hugo Fragoso, after which they stole the cartel helicopter and took it to a rebel rendezvous point.
