Esmee Francis (born 1 October 1975) was a British Labour politician who served as a member of the Bromland Town Council in Lincolnshire from 7 April 2013 to 27 April 2014, preceding Shuaib Abdullah.

Biography[]

Esmee Francis was born in Bromland, Lincolnshire, England on 1 October 1975, and she worked as a bus driver for several years before becoming a union official and Labour Party activist. Francis was first elected to public office in 2013, when she was one of ten Labour candidates elected to the thirty-seat Bromland Town Council. During the 27 April 2014 election, Labour experienced a drop in support as the Liberal Democrats won over South Asian voters motivated to turn out by the candidacy of Pakistani small business owner Shuaib Abdullah for town council, and Abdullah defeated Francis for re-election.
