
Ermil Gheorghiu (13 February 1896-14 January 1977) was Chief-of-Staff of the Romanian Air Force during World War II.
Biography[]
Ermil Gheorghiu was born on 13 February 1896 in Botosani, Romania. Gheorghiu was appointed as commander of the Romanian Air Force on 21 November 1942 during World War II, and he served as Secretary of State in the Ministry of War. In 1950, he was imprisoned by the communist government of Romania, and he survived their prisons, dying in peace in 1977.
