
Erlend Torf-Einarsson (911-954) was Jarl of Orkney from 950 to 954, succeeding Arnkel Torf-Einarsson and preceding Thorfinn Torf-Einarsson.
Biography[]
Erlend Torf-Einarsson was born in 911, a son of Torf-Einarr and the brother of Arnkel Torf-Einarsson and Thorfinn Torf-Einarsson. His brother Arnkel made him co-ruler in 950, and they both joined Eric Bloodaxe's expedition to Northymbre. However, all three men were slain in battle in 954.
