Erich von Meeseberg

Erich von Meeseberg was a Major of the Imperial German Army during World War I and a leader of the Black Reichswehr during the Weimar era. In 1929, he and fourteen other Black Reichswehr leaders were arrested by the Berlin Police as they planned a coup against the democratic Weimar regime, but they were released shortly after by order of President Paul von Hindenburg, who sympathized with their cause.
