Erich Hofmann

Erich Hofmann (20 April 1901 – 21 January 1984) was a German politician from the Nazi Party who represented Chemnitz-Zwickau in the Reichstag from 1936 to 1945.

Biography[]

Erich Hofmann was born on 20 April 1901 in Weissenfels, German Empire, and he worked as a hairdresser until 1935. Hofmann then became a full-time SA leader, having been a member of the Nazi Party since 1928, and he became a Brigadefuehrer on 1 July 1940, leading SA Standard 107 in Leipzig. From March 1936 to May 1945, he was elected to the Reichstag as an MP for Chemnitz-Zwickau, and he fought in World War II. He died in 1984.
