Eremias I of Axum (987-1046) was the king of Axum from 1019 to 1046, succeeding Joram I of Axum and preceding Dawit I of Axum.
Biography[]
Eremias I of Axum was born in 987 to the royal House of Gideon, the Jewish ruling family of Axum. His father was King Joram I of Axum. When his father died in 1019, Eremias became the new king of Axum, reigning for 27 years. Eremias died in 1046, and he was succeeded by his son Dawit I of Axum.
