Enrique de Salsedo was a Spanish conquistador who fought in the Arauco War in Chile during the 16th century. In 1552, he led an expedition from the Viceroyalty of Peru to establish new trade routes and colonies in Araucania, resulting in battles with the Inca Empire and the Siege of Huánubamba, resulting in the destruction of the Inca city.
