Englewood is a city in Bergen County, New Jersey, located to the north of Jersey City. Englewood became a city on 17 March 1889 from portions of Englewood and Ridgewood townships, and the city had a population of 27,147 people in 2010. 45.28% of the population was white, 32.58% African-American, .54% Native American, 8.10% Asian, .04% Pacific islander, 9.73% other races, and 3.72% multiracial, while 27.48% of the people surveyed identified as Hispanics.
