
Engelbrecht Schoener (1867-1941) was an Imperial German Army officer during World War I.
Biography[]
Engelbrecht Schoener was born in Detmold, German Empire in 1867, and he became a career army officer in the Imperial German Army. Schoener commanded a squad of German troops in the Artois region of northern France during World War I, taking part in the capture of the Allied trenches during the 1918 Spring Offensive. Schoener remained in the Reichswehr after the war, and he helped with the suppression of communist agitation
