The L64/65, better known as the Enfield Individual Weapon or simply as the Enfield, was a prototype assault rifle developed by the United Kingdom from 1964 into the 1980s. However, the L1A1 was instead used as the primary infantry weapon of the British Commonwealth, and the Enfield never saw use in war, although it was used by soldiers during the Cold War.
