
Emmet Derby Boyle (26 July 1879-3 January 1926) was the Democratic Governor of Nevada from 4 January 1915 to 1 January 1923, succeeding Tasker Oddie and preceding James G. Scrugham.
Biography[]
Emmet Derby Boyle was born in Gold Hill, Nevada in 1879, and he worked as a mining engineer before serving as Governor from 1915 to 1923. Boyle was opposed to boxing, and he served as president of the Reno Chamber of Commerce and as publisher of the Nevada State Journal after leaving office.
