Emir Ad-Da'i Yusuf of Rassid Emirate (938-1012) was the Emir of the Rassid Emirate from 976 to 1012, succeeding al-Mansur Yahya ibn An-Nasir and preceding Emir al-Mahdi al-Husayn of Rassid Emirate.

biography[]

Ad-Da'i was the son of al-Mansur Yahya ibn An-Nasir, the Imam of Yemen from 934 to 976. He was a Shi'ite Muslim Bedouin family, the Rassids. He succeeded his father as the Emir of the Rassid Emirate, but he engaged in power struggles with the Yu'firids and the Ziyadids. In 997, there was a brief respite after he defeated his rivals, but in 999 he was briefly ousted by al-Mansur al-Qasim al-Iyyani. He regained power in 1002, but when he died in 1012, Emir al-Mahdi al-Husayn of Rassid Emirate succeeded him.
