
Emilio Cuervo (1874-1936) was the Colombian Conservative Party Mayor of Bogota from January 1913 to August 1914, succeeding Manuel Maria Mallarino Isaacs and preceding Andres Marroquin Osorio.
Biography[]
Emilio Cuervo Marquez was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1874, and he came from an aristocratic family; he was the grandson of Rufino Cuervbo y Barreto and Jose Ignacio de Marquez. He served as Mayor of Bogota from 1913 to 1914, and he also had a distinguished career as a writer and professor.
