Biography[]
Emilio Brunetti was born in Italy, and later immigrated to the United States and settled in Little Italy, Manhattan, New York City. Brunetti opened "Emilio's Butcher Shop", and he was forced to pay protection money to the Tattaglia crime family after having paid protection to the Corleone crime family. In August 1945, Luca Brasi sent Aldo Trapani to remind Brunetti of his obligation to the Corleone family. Trapani roughed him up and forced him to continue giving the Corleones a cut of the action; he then proceeded to extort racket boss Frankie Fernetti, taking control of his gambling operation on the second floor. Brunetti and Fernetti proceeded to become Corleone associates.
