Emi Terasawa (1989-2 December 2015) was a Japanese nurse who worked at the Advanced Drug Development Center (ADDC) in Tokyo during the 2010s. She secretly dated the janitor Shinpei Okubo shortly after he started working at the hospital, and she testified to his innocence in Koichi Waku's murder in 2015, helping secure his acquittal. However, Waku's killer Yoji Shono, seeking to cover up his role in the murder, headed to Okubo and Terasawa's apartment, where he injected the sleeping Okubo with alcohol, stabbed Emi fifteen times, and set fire to the apartment, making it appear to be a drunken murder. Emi's brother Fumiya turned to street crime out of anger at society following the loss of his beloved sister.
