
Elton Forsberg (1785-1814) was a colonel of Sweden during the Napoleonic Wars.
Biography[]
Forsberg was born in Malmo, Sweden, in 1785. He became a soldier in the army of Sweden in 1805 at the age of 20, fighting in the War of the Third Coalition against France. Forsberg later became a colonel in the Swedish Army, and in 1814 he assisted in the invasion of France. He was mortally wounded by a cannonball that hit his leg during the Battle of Denain's aftermath clash at St. Thomas-sur-Denain.
