Elsa Scheffler (1925-) was the German girlfriend of US Army captain Harrison Byers during the late 1940s. She was eight years old when the Nazis seized power in Germany, but she never fell for their ideals as a young girl. After the war, she formed a romantic relationship with an American soldier, Harrison Byers, who later joked Chief Judge Dan Haywood that he intended to be the only one to indoctrinate her.
