Elpidio Gamboa Meléndez

Elpidio Gamboa Meléndez (1863-1907) was a Mexican-American outlaw of the Wild West who was affiliated with the Del Lobo Gang during the 1900s. In 1907, he and Olivio Almonte Agosto ambushed an Overland Despatch Company stagecoach near Goliad, Texas, killing its driver Curt W. Haworth and attempting to force Judison Z. Becket to open the coach's box for them. However, the gunslinger John Marston killed the two outlaws and rescued Becket, who invited Marston to claim the contents of the box as payment.
