Biography[]
Elliot Blitzer was born in 1959, and he later moved to Hollywood to become a film actor. He worked as an assistant to producer Lee Donowitz, who looked upon Blitzer as a son, and, in 1993, Blitzer's friend Dick Ritchie introduced Blitzer to his associates Clarence Worley and Alabama Whitman, who sought to sell $500,000 worth of cocaine to Donowitz for $200,000. After a meeting with Blitzer at an amusement park, Worley persuaded Blitzer to call his boss, enabling Worley to persuade Donowitz to go ahead with the deal at the Beverly Ambassador hotel. A day later, however, Blitzer was arrested by the LAPD while speeding with a prostitute and cocaine in his car, and, when Blitzer attempted to force the prostitute to hide the cocaine in her dress, she threw it at him, causing the cocaine to cover his face. The police arrested Blitzer, who was unable to defend himself; however, Detectives Nicky Dimes and Cody Nicholson persuaded Blitzer to turn informant and implicate his boss in drug trafficking. Blitzer reluctantly agreed, wearing a recording device concealed in his crotch area and going to the drug deal between Worley and Donowitz. Worley grew suspicious of Blitzer and, while in the elevator, held a gun to Blitzer's head and interrogated him, but he ultimately apologized before he could extract a confession of any sort. Blitzer went on to attend the drug deal, and, when the deal was concluded, the LAPD barged into the room, as did the Mafia. This resulted in a three-way standoff, and a cowardly Blitzer asked Detective Dimes if he could leave, as he had nothing to do with the situation. Donowitz asked how Blitzer knew the detective's name and vice-versa, and he realized that Blitzer had betrayed him, and splashed him with coffee. Nicholson responded by shooting Donowitz in the chest, leading to a three-way shootout between the police, Donowitz's bodyguards, and the police. Blitzer was among those killed in the crossfire.
