
Elizur Goodrich (24 March 1761 – 1 November 1849) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-CN) from 4 March 1799 to 3 March 1801, succeeding Jonathan Brace and preceding John Davenport.
Biography[]
Elizur Goodrich was born in Durham, Connecticut in 1761, and he became a lawyer in 1783 and served in the State House from 1795 to 1802. He went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1799 to 1801, as a probate judge from 1802 to 1818, on the Governor's Council from 1803 to 1818, and as Mayor of New Haven from 1803 to 1822. He died in 1849.
