Elizabeth Pender (born 1642) was an English socialite on the island of Nevis during the late 17th century.
Biography[]
Elizabeth Pender was born on the Caribbean island of Nevis in 1642, the daughter of English governor Charles Pender. In March 1660, the beautiful Elizabeth met the English privateer, Captain Jack Summer, at her father's mansion after Governor Pender promoted Summer. Pender found Summer to be handsome, and she said that she would dance with him once he reached high rank.
