
Elisha Reynolds Potter (5 November 1764 – 26 September 1835) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-RI) from 15 November 1796 to 1797 (succeeding Benjamin Bourne and preceding Christopher G. Champlin) and from 4 March 1809 to 3 March 1815 (succeeding Isaac Wilbour and preceding John Brown Mason).
Biography[]
Elisha Reynolds Potter was born in Kingstown, Rhode Island in 1764, and he became a lawyer in 1793 and served in the US House of Representatives from 1796 to 1797 and from 1809 to 1815. He died in 1835, and his son Elisha R. Potter later went on to serve as a congressman.
