Elias Earle (19 June 1762 – 19 May 1823) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-SC 8) from 4 March 1805 to 3 March 1807 (succeeding John B. Earle and preceding Lemuel J. Alston) and from 4 March 1811 to 3 March 1813 (succeeding Alston and preceding Samuel Farrow), as well as from SC-7 from 4 March 1813 to 3 March 1815 (succeeding Thomas Moore and preceding John Taylor).

Biography[]

Elias Earle was born in Frederick County, Virginia in 1762, and he moved to Greenville County, South Carolina in 1787 and became one of the earliest ironmasters of the American South. He went on to serve in the State House from 1794 to 1797, as a State Senator in 1800, and in the US House of Representatives from 1805 to 1807 and from 1811 to 1815. He died in 1823.
