
Elias Brown (9 May 1793-3 July 1857) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 5) from 4 March 1829 to 3 March 1831, succeeding John Barney and Peter Little and preceding John T.H. Worthington. Born near Baltimore, he served in Congress from 1829 to 1831 as a Jacksonian, as a Whig delegate from 1834 to 1835 and state senator from 1836 to 1838, and as a presidential elector in 1820, 1828, and 1836.
