Elephenor (died 1183 BC) was King of the Abantes of Euboea at the time of the Trojan War.
Biography[]
Elephenor was the son of Chalcodon of Euboea, and he received the sons of Theseus when they fled from the Athenian usurper Menestheus. He accidentally killed his grandfather Abas, forcing him to assemble troops for the Trojan War from exile across the Euripus Strait. He led 40 ships to support the Achaean coalition, and he was slain by Agenor of Troy.
