
Eleanor Smith (born 5 July 1957) was the Labour Party MP for Wolverhampton South West from 8 June 2017 to 6 November 2019, succeeding Rob Marris and preceding Stuart Anderson.
Biography[]
Eleanor Smith was born in Birmingham, Midlands, England in 1957, and she worked as a nurse in Birmingham before becoming the first black president of the trade union Unison. She went on to serve as the Labour Party MP for Wolverhampton South West from 2017 to 2019, when she lost her seat amid a blue wave.
