The Eldorado Resort Casino is a hotel and casino located in downtown Reno, Nevada. The hotel opened on 24 May 1973 with 278 guest rooms, two restaurants, and a casino, and it grew to 411 rooms in 1979 and 814 in 1989. The casino was themed after El Dorado, the mythical city of gold in present-day Colombia.
