
Elaine Luria (born 15 August 1975) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-VA 2) from 3 January 2019 to 3 January 2023, succeeding Scott Taylor and preceding Jen Kiggans.
Biography[]
Elaine Luria was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1975, and she served in the US Navy for twenty years, retiring in 2017. In 2018, he ran for the US House of Representatives for Virginia's 2nd district (Virginia Beach) as the Democratic nominee, and she defeated Republican incumbent Scott Taylor. She joined the New Democrats upon entering the US Congress. She was defeated for re-election amid a "red ripple" in 2022.
