Raul "El Pozolero" Murillo (4 November 1973-) was a high-ranking member of the Santa Blanca Cartel's security division and the man responsible for disposing of the bodies of those the cartel had "disappeared" throughout Bolivia.
Biography[]
Raul Murillo was born in Durango, Mexico in 1973. He worked in construction until he lost his job, after which he was hired by the Santa Blanca Cartel and was taught in how to dissolve bodies when they discovered he had a strong constitution for it. The simple-minded Murillo emotionlessly disposed of 600 Bolivian victims of the cartel during the 2010s, sealing victims in plastic barrels or oil drums and dissolving them in caustic soda. Murillo acquired the nickname "El Pozolero" ("the stew-maker") for stirring the bodies in their barrels for 24 hours and dumping the "stew" before crushing up the remaining bones and teeth. In 2019, he was apprehended by American special forces during the San Mateo Base raid, and he was forced by the CIA to supply the names of all the disappeared Bolivians he had disposed of.
