Edwin Obed Stanard (5 January 1832-12 March 1914) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MO 1) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875, succeeding Erastus Wells and preceding Edward C. Kehr.
Biography[]
Edwin Obed Stanard was born in Newport, New Hampshire in 1832, and he was raised in Iowa before settling in St. Louis in 1853. He engaged in the commission and milling businesses before serving as Lieutenant Governor from 1869 to 1871 and in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1875 before dying in 1914.
