
Edwin Einstein (18 November 1842-24 January 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 7) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1881, succeeding Anthony Eickhoff and preceding P. Henry Dugro.
Biography[]
Edwin Einstein was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1842. He was raised in New York City, where he became a cigar manufacturer and went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1881. He failed in his 1892 bid for Mayor of New York City, but he served as Dock Commissioner in 1895. He died in 1905.
